Within the process as described in the current flowchart, the acquisition process involves some repetition of some steps. This repetition adds to the overall time required and the expense of handling the requests. Such a procedure leads to the very many delayed requests within the various government departments, leading to millions of pending applications (Arab News, 2013). Another disadvantage of the manual applications is high propensity to loss of documents, and thus a repeat of the whole application procedure.
